I love this stud in my upper lobe — it is expertly set, the prongs around the stone don’t catch on my hair (like settings from some other retailers), and the diamond sparkles brilliantly! Have purchased a few similar studs now. The flat back has a nice thickness that prevents it from cutting into my skin and makes it comfortable to sleep in, even for fresh piercings. I initially purchased less expensive gold plated earrings, but my lobes would not heal, then as soon as I switched to Porter Lyons the irritation went away and they quickly healed. I’m certain this was a result of the more comfortable, solid gold earrings because I only switched the earrings in one ear at a time, and each time I switched to PL a piercing would heal while the others remained irritated.
